Get started

Many of us used to have active lives when we were younger. We rode our bikes, went swimming, skiing, hiking, played volleyball, and more. Then life happened. Work got busy, we had children, and time to exercise not only disappeared, we felt guilty spending the time on ourselves.

If you haven't exercised in a long time, it can be a little daunting to start now, even though you have good intentions to get active. Where do you begin? What kind of workout should you start with? Is your body ready?

Rest assured, it's never too late to start exercising! Studies show that even if you haven't exercised in a long time, with the right training and exercise program, your body can return to tiptop shape.

And don't just stop there - involve your children and loved ones in your exercise routine as well. Make fitness a family affair. Not only will you be spending more quality time with your family, you aren't training new couch potatoes. Try starting a walking school bus and get your kids in your neighborhood to walk to school instead of driving them. Motivate the people around you and enjoy yourself!
